E3 2016 discussion

With only hours before the first press conference begins, I thought it would be a good idea to put this up. So all discussion, speculation and hopes for E3 2016 in this thread.

There aren't many games that I'm interested in this year. Titanfall 2, Battlefield 1, Nintendo NX and of course Halo Wars 2 and Windows 10 Forge will be interesting to see but I'm mostly hoping for interesting announcements.

Do you think 343 will announce Halo 3 Anniversary? That sounds like the perfect way to return Halo to pc but that's pretty optimistic and probably impossible.

I'm all for battlefield 1 this time and hoping they can give us some solid gameplay .Loved the spade fighting too. Also waiting for the Titan fall2.
However, the biggest announcement for me would be if and when they decide to scrap origin and move to steam.

Lol. If halo 3 anniversary releases then this project will have no value as we would already get a solid halo to pc. P:C would die. Nobody will care.(Unelss it is shitty, which is improbable.)Though they can still release it to the PS4. XD . #masternoobaprilfool.

Interested in Battlefield 1, Skyrim Remaster, Titanfall 2, Mass Effect Andromeda so far from what I've seen shown. Hopefully the Skyrim Remaster includes the updates they added to the engine for Fallout 4. Andromeda looks really nice, never played Mass Effect 3 so I'm glad this doesn't seem directly connected to the trilogy.

I think it's from Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, was listening to some soundtrack on youtube that had this in it.

Aand I missed Bethesda. Titanfall 2 looked pretty cool, I haven't played the first one so I don't really know how much of the stuff showed is new. Fe also looked promising but they didn't show enough gameplay.

Titanfall 2 and BF1 legitimately grabbed my attrntion, whereas most other stuff kinda fell short. Admittedly, i got super hyped when i saw quake and doom, and dishonored 2 doesnt look too bad

Well, I didn't buy a Xbox One yet and I'm planning too so I'm very happy that I waited, but I dislike the idea, just as the Playstation 4K', especially for people who already bought the first Xbox One

So in short, I'm happy for myself that this will come out, but regarding to people who already bought the first Xbox One I find it a terrible idea

Battlefield 1 is the only game I'm legitimately interested in.

Skyrim remastered = skyrim base game on pc

That's what I don't understand. Why would you bother remastering skyrim? Nobody on PC will buy it because you can mod everything else already, and nobody on console should have a reason to buy it if you already did everything in the base game and dlc. It's not like they haven't given you enough years to do so.

Well, it isn't coming to PC though

But I agree that this wasn't necessary, they should start from the beginning with TES: arena :P (would be cool though)

Here at Bethesda we are giving away Skyrim Remastered because we want to subtly imply we do jack shit to actually improve our games. We also want to make sure that we get PC players to actually use our inferior version to any standard modded Skyrim so that you can make free content for ungrateful 12 year old kids on consoles. We also want to subtly imply that you console retards would have bought it anyways even though it is literally the same game with a lightning overhaul that have been mods on PC since practically day one.

In other words water is wet and Bethesda drones will play another 1000 hours because the different lighting puts the shit story in a completely different tone.

And there goes Microsoft's show. As far as Halo is concerned that was really underwhelming, one trailer for Halo Wars 2. Aside from that I think it was pretty good, I don't think there was a single game that wasn't coming to Windows 10.

And apsuli, it isn't over yet, there may be more, maybe cinematic trailer about halo 6 that will inspire Halofollower for ridiculous speculations or something about halo 3 anniversary or forge: Halo 5 guardians edition

There's still enough that can happen :)

A potential Halo 3 PC doesn't even need to be remastered, they can just keep the remastered Halo 3 on Xbone and release OG Halo 3 on PC. And if it has modding support, the community could even remaster the H3 PC graphics themselves.

Am I the only one slightly disappointed with Battlefield 1? I feel like full auto weapons weren't that common in WWI, other than heavy weapons mounted on tanks and planes and such. Not really a gameplay concern, but more of a "keeping things historically accurate" concern. I'm still definitely interested though.

I think yall are forgetting, when Skyrim was originally released on PC it could only access 4 Gb of RAM, they had to hack in support for more and it was mostly hit or miss as far as I remember. When they upgraded the engine and rebuilt Skyrim before they went to work on Fallout 4 they added in native support for more than 4 Gb of RAM, this is great for massive amounts of mods.

I'm hoping they are releasing this as a stopgap until they can flesh out a COMPLETELY new engine for the next additions to the series'.

lolslayer, if I'm correct the Xbox One Slim is not 4k compatible, it is merely a reduced size Xbox One. The upcoming Xbox Scorpio is the only 4k version.
EDIT: I'm more interested in the architecture of the Xbox Slim, Scorpio and PS4NEO, wondering if they've switched over to AMD Polaris for that size decrease.

On Microsoft Conference and all the games coming to Windows 10, this makes it easier for me since they will hopefully also put Halo 6 on Windows 10, which I MIGHT consider upgrading for, especially if the "spying" "features" are completely disabled through those programs we discussed in the other thread.

I'm not bothered by it. If I was going to be bothered by something historical in the game, it'd be the fact that most of the casualties probably WON'T come from artillery shells, and they screwed up the "mustard gas" all wrong. Mustard gas causes burns on the lungs when inhaled, but it's real use is in incapacitating soldiers with gruesome burns and the psychological effect that would have on his comrades. A gas mask wouldn't protect you. You'd still be getting skin burns from it and it'd be pretty painful and they'd have to pull you out of the battlefield.
