It's probably the brand new Jumpmaster (?) armour set varient. They would stick all the new stuff in the photos because promotion.

Dreux, Halo 4 Contoured forearm and leg armor. Super curvy. Quite a lot of Halo 4 armor was curvy, it's nearly all shit. Also I'm pretty sure that the visors are more aesthetic than function. Don't the helmets all have cameras connected directly through the Spartan link in their head? I may be wrong though.

I'm still kinda salty about the fact that the armory is expanded yet downgraded. Now I kinda wish I was a spy for 343. Then I could at least get them to listen to what would sell Halo 5 and the upcoming Halo 6 better.

The VISRs are the cameras they are projecting an image to the spartans so yeah

Yeah kinda sad about that too But I can totally understand the reasons why they made the armory like that one being the Uniformity of armors now and how they really can't be mix n matched without clipping, and the other is of course the simplicity just for the sake of REQs and unlocking

Yeah Bravo has confirmed that the Splaser is going to get a BUFF it's just they couldn't finalize it into this update so we might see it later in a  mid month bug fix or something

Oddly enough 343i has been constantly responding to questions over at Reddit Halo and Twitter, for example last month they where awfully silent but now they are becoming more and more transparent

Also for that BTB post Bravo commented this!

Redditor Big team battle is kind of a joke. It aint big, the maps are small and dumb. I want sandtrap and terminal in BTB, along with other great community maps. Surely that doesnt require much work?

Hey everyone - happy to chime in with an update and a little bit of context and transparency into process. Up front, I don't have an exact ETA just yet, but will work to provide one in future blogs. We're working with the multiplayer team on getting these in as fast a humanly possible - and Community BTB is next up - but it's also worth noting that the teams that do this exact work (Multiplayer, Test, Services, and Forge) have all been going non-stop to deliver their respective components of the Hammer Storm update. We've got a good size team, but it takes everyone moving at 110% to deliver things like new game modes, Forge updates, service improvements, etc. (Which we hope you're enjoying!)
Surely that doesn't require much work?
When making games, "things" take quite a bit of work from a variety of teams. This will vary depending on engine and platform. To use BTB maps as the example here, once these are collected, they are first playtested with community members to ensure that basic things function correctly, map is playing well, nothing obviously broken, etc. If things need to be changed, we'll work directly with the Forgers on changes, and start again. Breakout was a relatively quick process as Forgers didn't need to worry about spawning. However with BTB, we've found that while many of the maps look incredible, they need a heavy amount of respawn work and adjustments - which means we can't yet bring them into our internal environments for test passes, and they have to be tweaked and tested a bit more.
Once they're ready, they're brought into our internal pipeline and reviewed / playtested by the multiplayer team for quality, map flow, etc. If there are any changes that need to happen at this point, we'll once again revisit with Forgers. The goal at this point, however, is to have brought in a map that is essentially MM ready so that we're not spending man hours playtesting content that isn't 100% ready.
After this, actual testing will begin, which means the H5 test team performs the full test passes that all Halo maps get before they're released into matchmaking. This is a long checklist, but it ensures that everything works.
If these pass, the work will begin to actually build these into playlists, and once completed, the updated playlist then goes through playlist testing as well in the internal environments - things like matching, map / game type combos loading, playlist parameters, etc are tested here.
If everything passes, the updates will be slotted into future matchmaking updates and ready to be sent out the door.
This is a paraphrased version of the entire process, and I am no doubt missing many granular details. Once everything is brought inside, there are still weeks of work required to make sure that we're delivering quality experiences in matchmaking. On top of that, the same guys and gals who bring you anything else related to multiplayer are the ones who do this work, so things like new game modes that are being requested have to be prioritized with playlist updates.
We love the BTB maps we've seen so far, and I'll be sure to continue to provide updates on the maps and where we are in the process.
tl;dr: These things take a bit of time, but the team is working as fast as possible to ensure we're getting you awesome stuff that plays and works well.

Brav-Hey all - we expected to see you here!
We knew we wanted to get you a Fiesta mode in the next release (this one!), but it turned out with the size of the Hammer Storm update, the engineering time just wasn't there to build the custom game options into the mode. I'm told that this requires a bit more time, so this alternative was the fastest way to still get something in your hands for this release, rather than holding it entirely. The team is well aware of the desire to be able to use these options across all game types, however.
Oh! And per edit #2, you should be able to create Fiesta FFA by using this game type. Just select the game type, -> Settings -> Slayer -> Teams [Off]. I just fired this up to make sure it works, but let me know if you have any issues.
Lastly, I just wanna play some Husky Raid too. That's all we really want

The musical piece playing in the Halo 5 prologue is C. Debussy - Prelude No.4: Les sons et les parfums tournent dans l'air du soir [ by Krystian Zimerman



I'ts one of Dr.Halsey's favorite songs. She plays the song in page 148 of Ghosts of Onyx
AND if I recall correctly she also plays it in the Fall of Reach when she and Keyes venture to Eridanus ll in order to analyze potential candidates for the Spartan ll program.


Now whats more interesting is that Cortana Humms the tune of this piece in the Legendary ending of Halo 5, Of course since she is built with a cloned matrix of Halsey's mind she does have many many similarities including the will of doing everything all in the name of the Greater good *Cough cough Spartans, *Cough Cough Guardians.


Anyways just a cool little interesting detail I found ;)
