When you upgraded them did you just use them as a concept art and start from scratch?

Yea, I just used them as an outline for where everything belongs. All of it was made using a noise and cloud generator along with some overlay for shadows. No images pulled off the web or xbr filters used here. Both still have some lighting issues and I plan to fix that later.

Few things.
1. That's a girl
2. Ma5D, that's the H4 AR.
3. Halo 3 ODST/Halo Reach armor hybrids. I actually ripped the Halo Reach ODST helmet, took off the visor, and refitted it to the H3O Helmet. I also took the HR Chestplate and used it instead of the old H3O one.
4. That elite ultra isn't supposed to be hidden. The entire scene is rendered at 1920x1200 (my screen resolution) because im magical and actually did the character math to figure out how big each render has to be in pixels and how to fit the character into the size. I can see all the characters fine on my screen, but had I uploaded it in full resolution, you wouldn't be able to see it.

None of you would be any of those characters because these are all characters for my friends in an RP clan that I'm part of.

Sidenote, it doesn't look that bad tbh. It seems to fit fine as I see it. then again I've gotten used to seeing it and have less hate for H4 models now generally (notably because I can make them look sexy as hell in 3DS max because cubemaps)

Yeah I hated H4 models until I saw them rendered on a PC fucking sexy *** hell I know Halo 5 guardians has the same style of armor still BUT in that behind the scenes footage 343 showed. The armor looked freaking good crisp and reflective
