LIVE servers for HALO 2 were shut down without any note from Microsoft or 343.
Luckily, the developer of Eldewrito i.e. FishPhd is working on PROJECT CARTOGRAPHER aka H2V:Online . Looks like every fps HALO on PCs will never die :D

As long as us Halo fans are on PC, the 2 that we have will not go down so easy. I'll have to look into Project Cartographer, though I'm not holding my breath really...

Hey could you post sources on this? I thought that Halo 2 Vista servers were shut down forever ago? Isn't FishPHD busy working on Eldewrito and Anvil Online? When did H2V servers actually shut down then?


EDIT: Nevermind I see you posted named links. Petition for the server administrator to make named links more obvious please. It's really had to tell there is one unless you swipe your mouse over the text

FishPhd is not a developer for Halo Online and is not a developer For Halo 2 Xliveless. The most FishPhd did for Halo Online  and Halo 2 was create a launcher I believe. PermaNull was the man who was behind actually getting Halo 2 Xliveless to work and I know because I sat down and talked to him in TeamSpeak while working on the project. He also had help from people like the developer of Open Sauce and others I believe although one would have to ask him personally about that.

Launcher not working? Can't see any servers in NETWORK?

If you can't update through the launcher just grab every file >here< (except the source code zips) and place them in your Halo 2 install location. Open the h2online.exe again and you should be good to go!
