Anyway, I may just delete her and fix her up some before re-uploading again.
(Going to fix her jaw/mouth area down to her neck and shoulder area. And then I'm going to fix her whole right arm section, and maybe fix up some other parts here and there too.)

Either way I think it looks pretty good. Unique take on the whole concept. If I had to critique somewhere I'd say the shading on the cape is a little confusing, but everywhere else it's good.

It's kind of hard to explain about the shading on the left arm (The robots right arm, but looking at it then the arm is on the left) other then if its behind the cape/body then it needs to be completely shaded if the main light source is coming from right to left, and that if it's not, then it needs some shading on the lower face of the arm and near the elbow joint. The most of the whole left side of the hood (Including the neck section) should also be shaded because of the lighting of right to left. The right hand (The hand we see to the right that is bending up) should also have more shading on the palm because of the lighting. And some other shading stuff. Also you need to give it a shadow seeing how dark some of the shading is on the body, there should logically be more of a shadow then what is currently there. Line work could use a bit of work in my opinion, but yeah, good character posing, so props to you. ;)
I find making a good character pose kind of hard to do... :L

Thanks for the input! Yea I know I need to work on shading. The linework is meh probably cause I drew this in my US history class after a test lol. I think the bigger issue with the shading in the picture is that I made his chest area to dark compared to the rest, and my sister also told me that the cloak doesn't flow naturally. Thanks for the critique bro!

So I showed this in our public Skype chat, but forgot to do it here.
I was planning on remaking the first Halo landing scene from Halo Combat Evolved fully custom from the ground up by myself. A small side project that I am working on unrelated to Project Contingency.
A lot of what is shown in the images is still a heavy work in progress.

Most likely a tunnel set for sentinels to fly within, shielding them from potential storms in the area.
That, or some sort of set of Forerunner cables. The Halo is a large Ring and requires a full circuit system for it to build energy and fire it's payload.

Honestly, I was not going to not answer because "it's all about the gameplay" is a retarded cop out but all of you seem to really not get what I'm getting at here. Why the f*** did it need to be a random metal bridge in the middle of no where? A fallen tree from the crash or a natural formation would have made logical sense. How does making your environment make sense take or detract from gameplay? Even more so in a game like Halo where it has and does take itself very seriously. You could have moved the pod or not have a cliff like that next to the place you wanted to cross. It's like making a map with a super market in a remote location so you can have trees for snipers to camp it. Super markets are more often than not located in heavily populated areas surrounded by buildings where you can have your sniping locations. Again it is a stupid thing to argue for but I am still convinced that that bridge there was there for no other reason than the designers needed to get john across somehow.

It might have been to introduce the player to the style of the buildings they would be seeing later on. This is the player's first look at the ring close up and if their first impression is just a cliff well it isn't all that different now is it? But it there is a random bridge made of rock or metal of some kind it makes the whole scene more thrilling and mysterious (not by a lot but still). Bungie might have just been trying to get players curious about the ring, rather than have them be like "oh, it's nothing special. Just regular earth terrain in space."

Like, no shit sherlock the bridge is there for John.
There's nothing stupid about that standpoint. There's nothing to argue either. It's there to get the player from A to B. Nothing more is to be found by looking at it, and while it's true it could have been a tree or connected by land, they chose that probably because it's shape and colour stand out and it's presence reinforces the players knowledge that this ring's natural part is a coverup because underneath it's all machine.
