Cons are not indicative of the entirety of a culture. Go to SDCC, NYCC, PAX, or any of these Cons. Are any of them entirely indicative of American culture (if you can even call it that)? The answer is no. You want to actually say something about what their culture is like, go research it and maybe even go live it for a little while (though AFAIK they're very Xenophobic)
