Do you, like, work for or get paid by 343 or something? I'm genuinely curious, because the amount of general promoting you've been doing as of late has been insane.
This is a very impressive video. I will say that you're audio was a little messed up when you showed all the Halo campaigns, but everything else meshed together fairly well.

He's just overhyped. Which will hit him right when it hurts when Halo 5 fails.

If that happens I'll just start advertising Halo 6:Rain Sands!
The hype is UNREAL for RAIN SANDS!

Re: Halo Ethos: A Celebration of Halo
You'd be an idiot to think Halo 6 will be any better if Halo 5 fails. Heck, they might even cancel the franchise as they'd expect Halo 6 not making any profit.

Well, if Halo 5 fails, and MS calls it quits on the franchise, they should just call it quits on the whole xbox console line, as they'd be cancelling a major selling point.

I still don't get how it's a joke. Or funny. Seems random.

If a Beta with only 4 maps and a level 30 cap made me moist...
I wonder what a Full game with Campaign, Arena, Warzone and Ranking will do to me...

For how long is the question. I don't care if I have a blast for one day. I want a blast for at least 3 years.

That's the whole point with Forge,Free DLC, Free Weapons,Vehicles,Maps,Skins, Seasons,Weekdays,Custom Games, Collectibles,Easter Eggs.etc
All those things are what make Halo a long running game and well Halo 5 from what I've learned so far might deliver on those aspects :P

Re: Halo Ethos: A Celebration of Halo
I didn't go back to a halo game because they added forge, vehicles, skins, seasons, days of the week? custom games, or collectibles. Those were all there at launch. I played forge and custom games but you know what? Those are useless to me now because I have no one to play custom games or forge maps with, or rather I have no way to play with the people I do have.
And anyone going back to a game because they added cosmetic skins is an idiot and if they think the game any different because of it they put way too much emphasis on visuals and collectibles.
I play H3 and Reach because they're fun games, not because of all the maps and crap. Halo 4 wasn't a good game, the multiplayer mechanics didn't fit, and frankly people saw that and left. 343's just adding in these dlc maps and things in an attempt to prevent the same thing from happening to H5 if it has a bad launch and suffers like every other 343 halo has.

Lmao I tried to change the question to suit Mootjuh but now I have to revert to my previous statement...
>Halo 5 beta
>Not that much content
>Really fun Gameplay
>Me moist
>Full Halo 5 game
>lots of content
>really funner gameplay
>Me moister
there...
inb4 It ain't fun if it's not a carbon copy of Halo 3

The problem here is that me isn't Heatguts or anyone else taking issue with Halo 5 for that matter.RockMetal&Time wrote:Heatguts wrote:I didn't go back to a halo game because they added forge, vehicles, skins, seasons, days of the week? custom games, or collectibles. Re: Halo Ethos: A Celebration of Halo
I like how RMT's entire spiel here is just
"I like this game, and if you don't, then you're a nostalgia ridden freak that needs to die! Long Live 343i! Let me blindly put out the few good things they've outputted and overlook the many issues they've outputted! Don't care if you have proof, I have ignorance!"
in a nutshell.
Saying it now, you can give in to hype all you want, RMT, but that shouldn't be an excuse to act like a child and start to berate the rest of your..i'll call them peers for lack of a better phrase.. simply because they don't share your opinion.
Inversely, The rest of you need to learn to respect RMT's opinion, as well. You can prove your points as you deem necessary, I have no issue with that. However I do have an issue with the shitposting that seems to be going around, namely in the point that its more passive aggressiveness than immediately directed. I understand your sentiments against the current direction that halo is going but I would very much appreciate you all conveying your ideologies in a more appropriate and cohesive manner.

Re: Halo Ethos: A Celebration of Halo
Honestly, I feel like RMT would have always been on the receiving end of hate regardless of how innocent or passive-aggressive he was.
I mean, we are on the forum of a fan-made Halo game.
A game called Project Contingency.
Contingency, which could be interpreted as meaning a fan made Halo game to make up for the lack of Halo 3 onwards not getting a PC release.
Which was primarily announced through CE3, which the HCE community is a bit sour about 343 anyway.
I respect RMT for holding out, and I agree with R93 that we both need to back up a touch, primarily the anti-343 side as we seem to be the argument sparkers, honestly.
/Diplomatic bs

Re: Halo Ethos: A Celebration of Halo
tl;dr:
RMT: halo 5 is going to be super awesome because new stuff and free shit
Sceptics: But free stuff and content doesn't make up for the lack of a solid halo game with solid halo / arena shooter mechanics
RMT & co. : lol no
Sceptics: lol yes
BlaseR93: fight fight fight, kiss kiss kiss
