The only Promethean weapon that sucks is the Binary Rifle. It is inaccurate unless you are scoped in; which makes no sense, when you are scoped in, a BUNCH of orange lasers reveal your location, and it has only two shots!!

Which is odd, because that's the only sniper weapon 343 designed that way (massive aim-assist and bullet magnetism on the beam/sniper rifle, anyone?)

Yeah, in previous games the sniper used to have a lower red reticule range than even the shotgun. Both it and the beam rifle were actually moderately challenging to use, and no-scoping was for the most part impractical.

But the sad part is, I don't think 343 added the large unscoped reticule on the bi-ri to encourage people to use it properly, they probably did it because the thing kills in one shot and would be OP if the reticule was the size of a thumbnail unscoped.

You don't really need to us the scope on any of the covie snipers (Beam/Focus Rifle). The Beam on Halo CE, 2, and 3 you kind of had to use the scope, but I found at mid-close range you can noscope. The beam rifle on Halo 4 was a more noscope friendly. With the Focus Rifle, you can basically use it as an assault rifle. The focus rifle is the king of noscope.

My diagnosis: Deprived-of-Good-Video-Games-itis. My solution is for you to play every Halo game ever made form start to finish, both campaign and multiplayer aspects. This way, you get it straight. I can understand your doubt in my "excuse". People on the internet always want to rescind their words, and blame a fictional third party. Yet, when someone actually uses that "excuse" and it is the truth, it is right to assume that it is a lie; even though it is true. The only reason it is right to assume that it is a lie is the fact that I am a stranger you met on the internet. These days, that could be a grave mistake to trust a stranger. You don't know if I have told the truth, or if I am even a real fan of Halo. I could be an employee of 343 or Microsoft. The fact that "I came up with bad ideas" makes it likely that I am employed by 343. I am perhaps scouting out Contingency to make sure it won't take profits from us by being better than our Halo games.

But alas, despite all of this; all the things I have said is truth. I honestly find it very hard to lie to people. After all, they are people, so why lie to a person that has no right to be told lies? I have simply told the truth, and it is understandable that you may mistake that truth for a lie. I think you're thinking of the light rifle from Halo 4. The focus rifle was the reskinned sentinel beam from Reach with a sniper scope slapped on it. Suffice to say, it was a pretty bad idea. The thing could keep you stuck out of scope at long ranges AND had infinite range. I'll take the beam rifle over that unbalanced mess any day.

LOL dude, im just an 18 year old guy in nebraska trying to make his own halo fangame because i have been bored this summer and P: C showed me that i dont need to present my ideas to a game company that will screw me over because the ideas aren't patented or copyrighted.
