This here is my own rendition on how to fix the UI of this website.
Currently, all that vertical movement on all of those mouseOver events are pretty jarring and disorienting.
Also, the animations on those events are choppy.
So I've decided to head into Flash, recreate and refine those animations into what I feel is better. I also made several different styles of some parts, as well as a different take on the background.

I actually like those buttons you've made. They have a nice feel to it. The alternative background looks alright too. But imo this current one is nice as well.

Edit: I should probably mention that those animations are still better than COD: Ghosts as a whole.
