Never played a Fallout game before. Is it a series where you have to start from one to get the story? Or would it be fine to jump in now with 4?

You're good to start from 4 but, you should play New Vegas to see if you like it.

I pray it isn't as glitchy as New Vegas. Or 3 for that matter.

Each Fallout game usually has enough info in it to give you some lore on things around you. You can jump around a bit without feeling lost. If you want to know more about anything then it would require you to read the wiki. You should be fine since each fallout is a different story with different characters and past events are more of a reference rather than a game changer.

Normal people play Fallout...
Unless you're a filthy commie. (I'm sure it's just a jab. Nothing to take too seriously.)

Wait... I cant remember which Vault that the Lone Wanderer (Fallout 3 Protagonist) came from. In the credits of Fallout 3, you saw him (or her) walk down a road with only a dog following. Is this the same character?

Aww :( It would've been kinda cool to play as The Lone Wanderer again.

I bought 3 and after like 3 hours I have not touched it since - the genre bores me. I can see the appeal, and I bought it on special, but yeah, not my cuppa tea.

To those who are fans though, congrats. Hopefully it wont join the big-hype-shit-game list.

I've played Morrorwind and Skyrim. Each one great, but still they lacked something. At least they made some fun references of other games; such as a minecraft Pickaxe in a mountain; and the Arbiter's helmet as an Item. But Honestly, I cant wait for Elderscrolls VI

Not exactly the top fan of the HL series. Tried it, t'was meh to me personally.

Come to think of it though, who needs ES IV when you have over 200 mods installed on V that make it look like a modern game.

It's still a modern game, I mean it's not even 3 years old.

Skyrim graphics still stand well with me :D i only install mods for whenever i get bored of the game. The right mods in the right setting make skyrim a completely new game to enjoy :P i still play it today actually.
