If i make a fan made Halo 2D game like OWAW, with story would yall play? To fill the void until project contingency or the next Halo is complete .

Halo + Megaman? Could work... but then again, Zelda II was considered a bit of a flop. Could be risky...

If you're passionate and think you're up to it, go for it.
My only concern is that you're asking as if to gauge what sort of recognition you'd get, rather than doing it because you want to/for yourself.

- Zelda II is only considered a flop because in 200X someone realized that they liked a link to the past and all the 3d games but zelda II is weird so why not hate on it?
At it's time of release it was praised and nobody had a problem with it. When the series only has one game in it and nintendo swaps up their franchises so much (mario 2) its only to be expected. Personally I love zelda II and I think it's one of the only games worth playing. The 3d ones are too linear, the 2d ones are the best but lttp has too much hand holding imo (link's awakening has best music in whole series on the whole. Spirit tracks has best song and wind waker's sea theme is most thematic imo, so grand and adventurous.) Zelda II is a tad linear but frankly the combat is amazing. It takes some getting used to and those freakin' knights are so cheap but when you're stabbin' and frantically tapping up and down trying to block his blows, its a lot better than walking up to someone and stabbing them and leagues better than holding Z and mashing B. Most of the hate comes from people who don't like it because it's different or people who don't like it because they can't figure out where the first castle is.
Back to the topic: I definitely would. I find owaw amazing, even if the ai is a bit twitchy. Add some cover mechanics of some kind or have levels that are just as tall as they are high and let the player find the exit.

Sorry to break my one rule but I just have to comment on this
If it's nearly as good, as good or better then OWAW then I'm surely gonna play it :)

Im already done with character models. Each covenant species have all their ranks and weapons.

I also have all thier voices so they can speak to each other and taunt you. Grunts are funny. Smarter ai. An it will fill like halo. There will be characters to this diverse story.

Yeah, I would. If it doesn't suck. Like halo is meant to be 3D man. But if you can pull it off, I'll gladly play.

So let me get this right... You have people like lolSlayer, DreuxPhoenix, etc that have spent forever coming up with concept art, writing storylines and basically everything but make their game... And this dude comes along and goes "LOL you guys want a game?" And smacks us with actual in-game images within a week. Lmfao, well fuckin played.

The weapons, spartan, jackal, and probably the ground are from OWaW. They released them on a spritesheet.Neesy wrote:You make these assets?

iknow but there are some assets i made my self. for example i took the grunt ultras, heavy, and spec ops and made them their reach armor since nobody has done that. i also added some deleted species of covenant that you will rarely encounter.
