Dont do Direct IP try doing a regular server BUT
add a Password see if that works

Instead of looking for a permanent fix why not try a band-aide? You should look into Hamachi and see if you can use it to go around the problem. I have used it in the past with servers that don't allow certain people in and it worked fine but that was on other games. Maybe the same will work with Halo CE?

Update on gamenights which never happened. Found out 1.0.10 did something with my port settings and along with that HAC doesn't really like me anymore either. Gotta find some way to circumvent it

Reason I never put these up is because of the fact that when 1.10 for CE came out, it broke my ability to host servers for some reason. I actually had a working local-dedi that I had setup with all the maps and gamemodes, too.

Lets just do a Halo Reach game night like some of us did in the BVG days.

It was one of the only successful game nights. Hosted by yours truly.
