Who here likes halo 1 or custom edition?

Who here likes halo 1 on pc or halo custom edition? I definitaly do... Most people are probably here because of CE3 anyways.

I actually heard of this project a while ago but I couldn't find information on it at the time.

I like Custom Edition but for the Singleplayer maps.

Single player is still good, but it gets old unless you change it with mods.

I usually use the console to boot into Singleplayer maps so I don't have to switch out all of the maps.  That and I play the Firefight maps.

Well yea it doesn't look bad, and looked good for it's day. But saying it looks amazing? Thats like saying a 10 year old crap looks amazing..

half life looks amazing, and so does metal gear solid :D

I do like Custom Edition, but haven't played it in a good while. Reach for me.
I'm not from CE3 either.

I'm with you on that one. I play Firefight all the time in REACH and fail at speed running :P

Well to pc gamers, halo 1 was the best halo... considering they only made 1 and 2 for pc.. no halo 3, reach or 4.

ODST felt out of place and boring, the story was short, and the graphics weren't much better..

That's what everybody always says.  ODST wasn't suppose to feel like the normal Halo everybody was use to.  It was it's own story and to me wasn't boring.  The Story was meaningful, heartfelt and amazing.  Some people just can't see what I see in ODST but also people have different opinions.  I don't look at graphics to see if a game is a good game.  I look into characters, story, etc to see if I enjoy the game, to see if I truly like a game.  People always use visuals as a way to grade a game and I find that pointless.

i have both. unfortunately i haven't touched them in a long time...

Custom Edition FTW. Basically Halo 1 + stuff made by others. CMT renditions, custom campaigns and firefight maps give you more to do =)

CE is awesome!

I used to play Halo 1 all the time, but modding was probably my favorite part. Or playing with the clan till 4AM, I kinda miss those days now.

Before I got an Xbox 360 that's all I played. My map folder was at least three gigabytes!
