CHALLENGE: Baking Cookies? What?

Now this is odd, and I mean really goddamn odd coming from me, but hear me out on this one. There's a company who's been advertising a specific cookie recipe in conversation as $2.50, but when the customers actually buy the recipe, The cost is $250. One person wasn't standing for it, and through a long discussion with the company's asinine PR reps, she released the recipe for all to enjoy. Being said, I want to try to get people to make the cookies, and then post reactions of how they taste to other people. I personally will be making these cookies in a short time after writing this post and will record part of the process. So good luck to all who take the challenge!

- Cookie Recipe:
* 2 cups butter
* 24 oz. chocolate chips
* 4 cups flour
* 2 cups brown sugar
* 2 tsp. soda
* 1 tsp. salt
* 2 cups sugar
* 18 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
* 5 cups blended oatmeal
* 4 eggs
* 2 tsp. baking powder
* 2 tsp. vanilla
* 3 cups chopped nuts (your choice)
Measure oatmeal, and blend in a blender to a fine powder.
Cream the butter and both sugars.
Add eggs and vanilla, mix together with flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and soda.
Add chocolate chips, Hershey Bar, and nuts.
Roll into balls, and place two inches apart on a cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
Makes 112 cookies
- Reduced Proportions:
* 1/2 cup butter
* 6 oz. chocolate chips
* 1 cup flour
* 1/2 cups brown sugar
* 1/2 tsp. soda
* 1/4 tsp. salt
* 1/2 cups sugar
* 4 1/2 oz. Hershey Bar (grated)
* 1 1/4 cups blended oatmeal
* 1 egg
* 1/2 tsp. baking powder
* 1/2 tsp. vanilla
* 3/4 cup chopped nuts (your choice)
Makes 28 cookies

I made them. Had to add a bit of extra oil but I did it.
General Result: "Wow, these are pretty good!"

That one cookie fell apart because somebody *cough*youngercousin*cough* tried to eat them before they cooled down. Also was the second batch

They've got an interesting flavor to them. They're not super sweet despite the amount of sugar in them, but it's got a nice fluffy texture to it and depending on how fine you made the oats and nuts, the taste of those are more or less pronounced. The chocolate taste is pretty noticeable though.

I don't know if any of you fellows watched the latest Bungie stream on Twitch, but they were talking with the voice actors of The Queen and Eris Morn, and the sound design team. Actually a pretty good stream, as Bungie has always had pretty good sound design or whatever it's called :)
But my point is, the voice actor for Eris Morn likes baking cookies :D I wonder if she would enjoy this recipe ^_^
