This is pretty similar to RM&T's thread, except this is old-gen graphics, are so I like to think.

However I'd rather still play Call of Doody because that's what everyone plays...

its only temporarially low-res. The devs intend to upgrade the graphics and whatnot as they go. They don't want a voxel shooter.

They are going with some 90s looking office setting and props. The cops were meant to be based off of art in stuff like Robocop and for judge Dred. Something that fits a violent brutal invasive police death force.

They had some cool stuff for the planning side on the defense, rather than leaving most of it to the offense like movable props to make cover, barricade doors, etc but they couldn't code it well enough. They just stuck with making fire ports by shooting holes in the walls...

Unless they get to them later and they implement them and they are like "man that would have been better in alpha" or "hmm we need this small fix but we need some rly nice stuffs and we shud has doen it when we did frst tiem"

I can counter-point you in saying that as it stands right now, even we don't have ALL of our core gameplay aspects down just yet (Blame crytek). It took us an extremely long time to try to figure out shields, as a notable example, and now we're just rolling down the list. Its better to have a very BASIC core done, and then iterate as you're going along, that way the gameplay will build as you continue.
