Direct Question to R_93 Sniper

Seriously, whats with all you people and Metroid, I don't get it

Also Steve, are we still gonna bother with that firefight map? I have it in the process of retoplogizing still because my idiot modeler is lazy as hell. I can try to retopo it myself but only if you still want me to

The original Metroid games are averagely ok but the Metroid Prime series for the Gamecube/Wii is one of the best video game trilogy's of all time, on par with Halo IMO

I was thinking that I could have another go at designing it, and instead of having me making it, and then you having to basically fix everything, you could tell me what I did wrong the first time, so that I can account for that this time around, and keep the retopolololololol to a minimum. :) Less work for you, I get better at it. Win - win?

You SHOULD be scared to state that. Metroid is to Nintendo like Halo is to Microsoft in terms of the super solider theme. Only Metroid is more of an adventure/dungeon shooter while Halo is...well, Halo.

Really great series though, and id recommend both the 2D sidescrollers and the Prime trilogy. Just stay away from Other M, they tried mixing both 2D and 3D elements together, and it didn't really work. The story was kinda lackluster too.

I have a few friends (and a lady friend) who have been trying to get me into Metroid and at most I've only played the original 8bit one forever ago

Shouldn't it be I have a lady friend and then state in brackets (and a few other non-important male specimens)

Perhaps, but she'd probably kill me should I overmention her so i'll stop :x

get on metroid prime with an emulator since you're a PC gamer, that's a good way to start
