Thread for HALO Reach on the Xbone
So there's been a while since HALO Reach is backward compatibility on the Xbox ONE. People having both Digital and Physical copies were experiencing FPS issue. It's always somewhere between 20-25 and when there's alot of firing and stuff going on they even get badder and drop to 15. :(.
Gamecheat13 managed to run the game 60fps with some modding but don't know why 343 not did the same. >:(
Maybe because they don't want HALO 5's population to scatter

Thankfully, Microsoft knows about this issue and told Kotaku that:
"We're aware some users are experiencing issues playing Halo: Reach via Xbox One backward compatibility. The Xbox engineering team is currently looking into the issues and are working to address them."

But it wasn't actually 60 fps. He played the game at half speed during that entire recording, then he went back and doubled the speed of the recording and rendered it at 60 fps. He even said at the beginning that the game wasn't running at native 60 fps. So that part where you asked why 343 didn't do that makes no sense, when Gamecheat was only able to make it look like it's running at 60 fps by altering the recording. Everything looks unnatural, anyway, since he didn't actually run the game at 60 fps.

He didn't actually run it at 60FPS...
And porting Reach would be nice but If I recall correctly in an Game informer interview with Bonnie Ross head of 343i she said that in the near future a Halo 3 Anniversary is way more likely to come then a Reach port or Remake

Actually I noticed this. I thought it was my eyes adjusting from the 60 fps that xbone claims to have to the 30 fps reach was running at. Didn't realize there was actual slowdown lol.

I don't really care for re-releases. Unless it is a collector's edition, or comes with ALL DLC PACKS AND GAMES (Borderlands Triple Pack, i am looking at / Lovin u), I say it isn't worth it.

If Halo 4 and Halo 5 are signs of the future for Halo, all I want is re-releases.

I really don't see how 343 continues to mess up campaign. Sure, some parts of the story for Halo 4 and Halo 5 are kind of interesting, but they still just fall flat. Halo 3 was my first Halo game, and I remember the awe I felt throughout the entire campaign. I got very similar reactions from Halo 1 and Halo 2; Halo 3: ODST and Reach to a lesser extent, but there nonetheless. I get none of that from Halo 4 and 5. I just don't care about what I'm doing, while in the older games I became completely invested. I would spend hours at a time playing the campaign, and they still had a lot of content (unlike the new ones). I mean, I finished the campaigns for Halo 4 and 5, but it took me a while, and I couldn't stand to do them for more than an hour or two at a time.

I think that Kazuma Jinnouchi did a pretty great job with the music. Sure, Marty is better, but Jinnouchi at least did a much better job than Neil Davidge (whose music I didn't dislike; I just wish they hadn't hired him for a Halo game).
Quick edit: I actually do like the music Davidge composed for Halo 4. I thought that might not have been clear.

Halo 4's campaign was bland as shit all the way through. The only reason I was even able to beat it as fast as I did was because I was constantly in the state of "What the hell is this?" the entire way through. Intrigue ran out quickly as I tried to hold myself from being an obscenely harsh critic without looking at the actual content objectively.

Simply HALO 4 & 5 got NO Replay value
Played all the other titles for atleast 3 times, even more.. expect ODST (on different machines i.e. PC, 360, ONE)

i've played ODST so much lol. Playing the OG firefight always entertained me since the only other option was reach (and tbh reach firefight was only good in firefight doubles)
