A few ideas.
I just think it would be cool to have firefight mode in this, and even better, something I'm pretty sure most halo fans have always wanted, a flood survival mode of some kind (other than just infection). I just think that would be perfect, and maybe add some forerunner weapons and weapon customization, unless that ruins this game, because i want this to be good.
But anyway, that's just a few suggestions I have, do whatever you thing is good in the end.
Thanks

Re: A few ideas.
I agree, finish PVP first ^_^ But to be honest, I wouldn't want a story. It would just be too awesome to have firefight and horde stuff like what he's talking about. Definitely Flood! But if I'm not mistaken, programming AI is pretty difficult yess?

Re: A few ideas.
AI programming in CryEngine is extremely difficult. There's default AI in there that's actually pretty smart, but it wouldn't do what we would want it to, I'd say

Haters gonna hate
Master Noob actually used to be super active on these forums like R93. Actually, why isn't he anymore? IRL stuff I suppose?

He lost his password and I only recently reset it for him. Also everyone in the team aside from mootjuh basically goes "Meh, R93's got the forum side of things handled, I wont bother posting unless I have a specific reason to"

Re: A few ideas.
Say you did have Firefight. Would you guys go as far as do Warzone without the Micro-Transactions BS of course. Just XL Balanced Teams on XL Balanced Maps with NPCs potentially acting as Neutral enemies / allies to your team?

Re: A few ideas.
Assuming they already planned on implementing npcs for the theoretical firefight they have theoretically planned, I don't see why not. Warzone AI is really dumb but to balance it their weapons do oodles of damage. I failed majorly at a fight with a marine in a base today and missed 3 br bursts before I died from AR fire. Traditional AI though, that'd be interesting. Especially if they wandered around instead of standing around doing absolutely nothing waiting for some spartans to come along and shoot them in the face.

Re: A few ideas.
They could make it similar to Destinies PVE areas maybe?
In some places you'll have Fallen coming from one area and Hive from the other and they'll move around and attack each other or even players.

Re: A few ideas.
I thought reach's maps were a pretty good size. They could use a couple more bases though. And in Dreux's theoretical reality, you guys already have firefight planned.

Re: A few ideas.
Halo 5's Warzone Firefight is a joke compared to earlier renditions. I would totally be on board with more players on bigger maps, though. Firefight always felt like it'd be cooler to fight tons of enemies with a bunch of friends, instead of 10 or 20 per round with just a few friends.

of course it sucks. 343 just loves to participate in the "Will it Blend?" commercials.
"Bungie's Firefight & 343s WarZone. Will it blend?"
*starts up blender.
"The results? Remove a lot of the good stuff, add micro-transactions, and bad AI."
"SELL IT TO THE PUBLIC!!"

This game can not make it as free to play
This game needs support. Support it will get if this project can get more attention, but nobody with money or resources wants to support a game which won't give them anything. I think this project should reach an alpha build and get on Steam. Make it 3.99 for the first ever alpha build and a one time purchase. Over time the price can increase as content increases. Say 1000 people download it, well then shit the developers just got themselves just about 4,000 dollars. That's 4,000 dollars to go into assets like advertising (think cheap banner ad on website or a quality youtube video). Or at least it'll pay their home expenses and allow them to put more time into the game. This needs to happen. It needs to gain traction before 343 gets wise and ports halo 5 to pc or something. This is unique and absolutely amazing and must happen

0Dr3AmsofAHalo, while what you say makes sense, the situation is not that easy because of a little things people tend to call copyrights and trademarks.
1. The game doesn't necessarily need publicity at this point. as it's still far from a releasable alpha or beta, if youve watched the videos of the gameplay, it's still being reassembled from the engine transfer. Building hype then making people wait ages for the next update is a waste of time and erodes trust. More harm than good.
2. This project won't get money or resources, as that was never the intention in the first place. If they wanted money, they'd have made a game about literally anything else so they could sell it. Clearly, money isn't an issue. This is a passion project.
3. This game won't go on Steam because it would both cost money to put it on there, and cost a lot more for the court case they would likely receive for doing so.
4. They won't make the game anything but free to play for a simple reason: Halo isn't their property. The Project Contingency devs don't own Halo, they are making a game under the strict rules of Fair Use/Game Content Usage Rules, which state that you are not allowed to make any money or charge for your product. If they did, Microsoft would drop a bomb on this project, ending it immediately.
I mean, we all sorta wanna give money, but in truth doing so would hurt them by putting them in a legal grey area. The best thing you can do is just wait it out.

Re: A few ideas.
I'll ask Donald Trump for a small loan of a million dollars for Project Contingency. I'm good friends with him and I hear he is quite the Halo fan.
Fantastic idea by the way! No one has ever come up with such an original idea such as releasing it on Steam. I keep telling the devs to release it on Stormfront and GOG but they won't because Mighty No. 9 is keeping the team busy.
