I'm as shocked as you are! I managed to contact an individual to recruit for Project: Drop, and she turned out to be a part of Venegrance! Turns out that their home site is having some hosting issues, and is down for the time being. But she showed me some assets they made this year, to prove that they are still going strong. Sorry I cannot show them though, it was "an exclusive sneak peak" as she put it.

Venerance is not alive. It's a rotting corpse. The main players of the team left a long time ago and the leader is a hopeless "idea guy" with no practical skill. Unless you show me proof of actual activity that isn't just something like concept art, then we'll see.

Also, they use Halo Wars style MJOLNIR Armor with SPI Tech.

Wouldnt make sense considering that they're going for a period where spartans already had shields..

SPI is a sort of camo. It could be an armor ability to add the function to their armor. Besides, Sprint in Halo Reach was similar.

SPI is not camo. SPI is Semi-Powered Infiltration armor. It has camouflage modules but is not camo, its armor. Regardless of that, SPI was used exclusively by S-IIIs, wheras venerance is detailing the story of Chief and blue team for the events leading up to halo 1s campaign. Unless the lead changed that storyline, Spartans have shields

I always thought of SPI camo as something like chameleon skin, or animal camouflage you know? Kind of passive, doesn't make you invisible, just sorta blends in with the background to make you less noticeable.

SPI armor has that special plating that allows active camo to flow properly along the suit. SPI camo is actually better than regular MJOLNIR Armor's capabilities iirc

I do wish someone would stop putting salt on the frogs legs that is Venerance.
In case anyone here doesn't know, before I joined contingency I was the main arts guy along with someone else who's since joined a studio and unless the "lead" of Venerance has changed tack in a large way, I severely doubt Venerance is still on going.
The fact that one artist joined contingency and the other joined 343I says a lot about the progression of Venerance.

I just realized the thread title and OP says "venegrance" instead of "venerance". I suppose this dev didn't know the name of the game they were making? lol.

...I need an iron gauntlet to facepalm myself with. I am a historian with Halo Lore. I shouldn't be making mistakes like this.
