I didn't have an account on the forums. I think I found out about it shortly after development stopped, and scoured the internet for months looking for all the demos. I have found a copy of the sprite dump and some (maybe all, no way to be sure) of the music made for the game.

Sadly, whether because of windows 8 or who knows what, if I fire to many bullets, (sometimes less than an assault rifle clip) the game crashes. I have lots of fun in forge where I can moderate the amount I shoot, but the AIs are trigger-happy and crash the game almost instantly. Every time I hear a plasma pistol I didn't shoot fire, I cringe because I know it will crash soon.

The devs got bored and didn't have enough money to support the website.
I was talking with one of the devs "Kill Pill" the night he closed it down if u guys saw what he was working on ... u would be even more depressed :( well at least i have some of the code from the final build that was never released :) haha man i miss the development of that game! and it was easy too it was all written in GML with C++ -.- i tried talking him out of leaving the project but meh they are working on a new one now Woo :P

Wait, you have some of the code? What parts? Or do you have a whole GMS project that was never released?

Sadly the admins completely scrapped the owaw engine they were working  on and started anew. The code i have only has some features like firefight, invasion, forge, armour changes and a working visor mode :Pect

and one campaign map that has no ending. The condition that i got in order to receive this code though was that i must not give it to anyone else it was only for personal study and I'm not allowed to continue working on it :(which is a shame in a way.

Besides i doubt many people would want to create a 2D halo game our days anyway :Pand i wouldn't be good for much either xD

imagine firefight with objectives like capture this capture that and if you lose you switch teams :P( you switch teams if you win as well haha )so you get to play as covenant versing spartans ect you also get team AIs  anyway its incomplete so its all buggy

I just noticed something on the bottom corner of the last picture with the ODST HUD. It says jetpack then under that it says bio foam. Does that mean that bio foam is a pick up item?

I think it's like 'equipment' but as you can see, there's 4 slots so maybe you can pick up more equipment, and press 1-4 to use. Or maybe biofoam and jetpack are permanent/default.

Spartans don't need biofoam though, its built into their suits. Unless its an ODST, which is supported by the fact that the hand holding the carbine has fingerless gloves like ODST's, but there's still the shield bar on the hud though.

This would probably become a result because of Contingency WIP, with temporary placeholders and such.

Covenant Phantoms and weaponry suggest either a campaign or at the very least a Spartan Ops/Firefight mode of some sort. AKA thar be aliens in them there game.

Firefight in Reach was ok, but the Campaign was better. Not even going to bother with ODST. We should just have them both.
However that might not be the case as they maybe won't have the resources to do so.

If they have campaign, then it isn't unrealistic to expect firefight too. I mean, the scripting difference isn't huge, just endless waves with extra variables detecting progress. It ain't rocket science.
